We are a software publisher. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, insurer, tax preparer, or law firm, and we are not registered with or overseen by the SEC, FINRA, a state securities regulator, or any equivalent body. We hold no licence that would permit us to advise you.

It follows that: we never take custody of your money, we never place trades, we never receive trading authority, and no one here owes you a fiduciary duty.

• Rules-based arithmetic. Every projection is deterministic: the same inputs always produce the same output. There is no discretion, no judgement, and no view about markets embedded in the engine.
• Your assumptions drive it.Return, inflation, spending, claim ages, and longevity are yours to set. Where you haven’t set one, we apply a documented default and label it — a default is a starting point, not a recommendation.
• Hypothetical throughout.Nothing shown is an actual account’s performance. See the Disclaimer for what that means and why it matters.
• Third-party data. Market prices, dividend histories, and connected account balances come from outside providers and are passed through as received. They may be delayed or wrong.

Today we are paid by the people who use the app — subscriptions and supporter memberships. We also pay third parties for market data, brokerage connectivity, hosting, and email; money flows from us to them, and they have no influence over what you see.

As of August 20, 2026 we receive no referral fees, revenue share, paid placement, or advertising revenue from any issuer, fund, brokerage, or adviser, and no third party sponsors or approves the content of this app.

If that ever changes, these rules bind it:

• It is disclosed on this page, named, with the nature of the payment described.
• It is labelled where you encounter it, not only here.
• It cannot change the arithmetic. Yields, returns, taxes, and projections are computed by rules identical for every security. No payment buys a better number.
• It cannot manufacture a recommendation, because we don’t make recommendations.

Securities shown in examples, sample portfolios, or career episodes are there to demonstrate a mechanic — they are illustrations, not a buy list, and not an assessment of suitability for you. Anyone who works on this app may personally own securities that appear in it; no such holding buys a placement. We do not sell your personal information — see the Privacy Policy.

The tax, Social Security, Medicare, and retirement-account logic in this app is written for the United States, and in places for specific states. It assumes a US filer with US accounts.

If you are outside the US you are welcome to read and explore, but understand that the assumptions underneath the projections will not describe your system — your pension rules, tax treatment, and benefit ages are different, and the outputs will be wrong for you in ways the interface will not flag. Nothing on this site is an offer, solicitation, or marketing of any financial product or service in any jurisdiction where doing so would require a registration, licence, or authorisation we do not hold. We make the service available from the United States and do not target any other market.

Language about what a plan “will” do — when money runs out, what a balance reaches, whether a retirement age holds — is forward-looking by nature and rests on assumptions that will not hold exactly. Outcomes will differ, often materially. Treat these as scenarios to compare against each other, not as predictions to rely on.

This software has bugs, and its financial rules will sometimes be out of date or mistaken. We fix what we find and what you report, but we cannot warrant that any figure is correct. If a number looks wrong to you, it may be — tell us at support@instack.app and verify it against the official source before acting on it.
